Ali Khan Sharif  Replaces Rifkhan Bathiudeen in  NPC

Rifkhan Bathiudeen, brother of Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen has resigned as a member of the Northern Provincial Council, based on a decision taken by the central committee of the All Ceylon People’s Congress.

Ali Khan Sharif, who was defeated in the last NPC election was nominated by the All Ceylon People’s Congress to fill the vacant position  created by resignation of Rifkhan Bathiudeen.  Mr Sharif attended the 109th session of the Northern Provincial Council today (7) and took oaths before Chairman of the council, C.V.K. Sivagnanam.
