Hand Symbol For SLFP to Contest LG Elections.

Speaking at a media briefing held in Colombo Minister Amunugama said, discussions are underway with several political groups to contest the election as a coalition.

He says the Sri Lanka Freedom Party is likely to contest the forthcoming Local Government Election under the hand symbol. The Minister said if a majority agree, the SLFP would contest the impending election under the party symbol. However Minister Amunugama said there is a possibility to contest the election once again under the United People’s Freedom Alliance ticket.
