Extensive Project to Develop Trincomale Port

Minister of Ports and shipping Mahinda Samarasinghe says, an extensive project is to be implemented to develop the  Trincomale Port. If the tourist trade is linked with the Trico port, tourism could easily be developed.

Massive development in shipping allied trade had been recorded and the Port Authority has made a profit of 110 million this year. Regarding shipping transport a National Implementation Plan is under preparation.

He made above statements while speaking in parliament during budget debate.
