Open Warrant to Arrest Sub Inspector in Vidya’s Murder Case
Sub Inspector of police Srigayan then attached to Jaffna police, who had helped the first accused Swiss Kumar to escape to Colombo has been absconding to attend court proceedings.
When the case was taken up today before the Kayts Magistrate M.M .Riyal, open warrant to arrest him was issued by the Magistrate. The Magistrate has also ordered the police , to inform the Immigration and Emigration authorities along with documents to prevent him from fleeing the country.
Former DIG Lalith Jeyasinghe , who is on bail was present in the Courts today . The case will be taken up for inquiry again on 28th February 2018.
