Central Environmental Authority Planned Raids in January 2018

After use of polythene and plastics banned in Srilanka through gazette notification. Central Environmental Authority has given sufficient time to manufacturers, dealers and distributors of polythene and plastic to switch on to produce alternate products proposed with specific standard. Now the CEA has decided to carry out raids in January 2018 to ensure that no banned polythene or plastic products are being produced, distributed and sold.
