New Methodology to Issue Driving Licence As From 2018

National Council on Road Safety Chairman Dr. Sisira Kodagoda said, after considering the increase in road accidents, it was decided to conduct one day seminar for those, who apply for driving license as from the year 2018. It is made compulsory to attend this seminar for anyone, who wants to obtain a driving licence as from the year 2018.

From January to date 1,145 have lost their lives due to motor cycle accidents. When compared with the previous year, 22 additional deaths recorded during the current year, he said.
