Postal Trade Unions Preparing to Launch continuous Strike Next Week

Postal Trade Unions Convener of the Joint Postal Trade Union Collective Chinthaka Amarasinghe said, that they have decided to take an indefinite trade union action on the 10th of December by launching the strike.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Ministry of Postal Services MDB Meegasmulla said, postal trade unions have not officially informed the decision to launch a strike.

The Secretary said, a special meeting will be held between the postal workers and the officials of the Ministry tomorrow.

In the meantime, adding that talks are currently underway between postal workers and the official committee appointed to investigate into the requests made by the workers.
