All Railway General Workers Poised to Go on Strike….

In a press briefing held yesterday (29) , all Railway Workers Union General  Secretary said, that  as no recruitment made after 2011, more than 300 vacancies exist in the railway department.

Demanding to conduct the examination to recruit deferred filling of vacancies of Assistant Train drivers as early as possible, All Railway General workers Union has decided to launch a strike soon.

Assistant Railway Engine driver’s recruitment procedure was subjected to change and created unrest among railway employees. Authorities concerned have not taken any tangible action to address the issue.

If accelerated action is not taken to resolve the issues, they will be compelled to go on strike, he said.
