Sri Lankan High Commissioner to UK Continues Her Service – Foreign Affairs Ministry

By issuing a statement Ministry of Foreign Affairs corrected  “incorrect reports being circulated in the media” claiming that Wijewardene had resigned with immediate effect.

The statement reads Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Amari Wijewardene, has not resigned but will conclude her period of service by  March 31, 2018.
