Followed by Failure to Serve Court Notice to Mahendran, CID Explores the Possibility of Getting an INTERPOL Red Notice.

The former Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran  has been noticed to appear before court on March 08 and the notice was sent to to his Singapore address. Although the former Central Bank Governor is a citizen of Singapore, there is no evidence to prove that he still resides in that country.
It is learnt that the notice the CID sent to Mahendran’s Singapore’s residence has been returned as Mahendran no longer lives at his residence in Singapore. He may have fled to another country. It is unlikely that he comply with the notice, a senior Police officer said.
The Sri Lankan law enforcement authorities have also explored the option of getting an INTERPOL red notice issued to apprehend the former Central Bank Governor.
