Changing Damaged Currency Period Ends……….

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has announced to replace defaced and torn currency notes in the nearest bank branches on or before 31st of March.

Meanwhile, the central bank has said that wilfully damage currency notes is a punishable offense under Finance Act No 58 of 1949.
