Despite LIOC Fuel Price Increase CPC to Continue With Current Fuel Prices

The Department of Government Information said the government prioritizes fulfilling the promises made to the public. Hence fuel will continued to be provided to the public at current concessionary rates through the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
1 litre of 95 Octane fuel is currently being sold at 128 rupees by CEYPETCO incurring a loss of 9 rupees and 32 cents to the government.
Meanwhile, 1 litre of 92 Octane fuel is being sold at 117 rupees by CEYPETCO incurring a loss of 14 rupees and 69 cents.
CEYPETCO bears a loss of 9 rupees and 49 cents through the sale of 1 litre of Super Diesel for 110 rupees.
The Department of Government Information stressed bus fares, transportation expenses, water and electricity prices will continue to remain the same without a price hike as a result of the concessionary rates provided for fuel by CEYPETCO
