The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress women’s wing in Kattankudy has joined the UPFA.
Reports said that a group of 500 women under the leadership of Women’s Wing leader Salma Amir Hamza, who is also a member of the Kattankudy Urban Council, announced their support to the UPFA at a recent press conference denouncing the bankrupt policies of the SLMC and the selfish attitudes of its lradership.
This comes several days after former Democratic Party District Organiser Sivageetha Prabhakaran joined the UPFA.
