1,708 warned for not wearing face masks

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Police says 2,802 individuals in the Western Province have been warned during the past 24 hours for failing to wear face masks and failure to maintain social distancing.

The Office of the Senior DIG in Charge of the Western Province said 1,708 individuals were warned for not wearing a face mask while 1,094 persons were warned for not maintaining social distancing.

The Office of the Senior DIG in Charge of the Western Province said 364 individuals were arrested on various charges during a 23-hour operation that ended at 5 this morning.
