North Central Province Education Ministry has taken steps to close down two schools coming under their purview due to wild elephants intruded inside the schools and created mayhem today.
Secretary to the North Central Province Education Ministry, W. T. Anomaa Manel said, that the Ukkulamkulam Vidyalaya in Mihintale and Mahaganadarawa Gemunu Vidyaalaya will be urgently closed down today.
This decision is taken to ensure safety of children from possible wild elephant attacks,she said.
