Anura Senanayake & Sumith Perera Further Remanded

Former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake and former Narahenpita crimes OIC Sumith Perera were further remanded till 21st September 2016  in connection with  alleged suppression of evidence on the death of former Sri Lankan rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.

Furthermore, the Director of National Hospital was ordered by Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris to submit a report on his medical treatment from 2003, since the Senior DIG had said that he had undergone treatment from that year on.
