Public Transport in the North Came to a Standstill

The Srilanka Transport Board (SLTB) employees attached to the Northern Depot gathered together at the Jaffna main bus stand today and struck work. They demand transfer of SLTB’s Regional Manager Upali Kiriwaduwa and the Security Chief immediately from the north. As a result of this sudden strike students and public have to face immense difficulties. Not a single SLTB bus is operating in the North, report says.
