Police have found a dead body floating in the lagoon near the Batticaloa District Secretariat, yesterday (10) at around 11.30a.m.
The deceased was identified as a 37-year-old resident of Eravur, Police Media Unit said.
His body is placed at the morgue of Batticaloa hospital. The post mortem examination will be held today (11).
Batticaloa Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
