Maximum Rainfall in Katunayake and Killinochchi

Continuing torrential rain cost two lives and caused damage to property of the public. The highest rainfall of 262 mm has been reported from the Katunayaka area. Met office at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport said that more showers are expected in the area in the next 24hours.

A rainfall of more than 300 mm was reported from Killinochchi, in the Northern Province.
