Weather Forecast For 22 nd August 2016

Fairly strong wind (up to 50-60kmph) is expected over the Southern province and Central hills of the island.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

A few showers may occur in the North-western province.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhereparticularly after 2.00 p.m.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
