Wimal Issued a Statement on Death of a Youth at his Residence
MP Wimal Weerawansa has issued a statement to clear the cloud covering the death of a youth at his residence on 25th October 2016.
He said that social medias continued to sling mud on him . He said died Lahiru is not only a friend of his son but a neighbour too. On the date of the incident Lahiru , his son and few others were staying after dinner at his up stair house. They had dinner watched films and went to bed.
He was not at his residence on that date. On the following day, as Lahiru did not get up from his bed Wimal’s wife had to take him to the hospital with the help of others. Social medias giving difference interpretations and publish news according to their wish.
The post mortem report given revealed that this was a natural death and certain body parts were sent to Government analyst to find out the cause of death. He appealed to the media to restrain from publishing false news.
