Driving School For Drivers Island Wide – Ashoka

Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Asoka Abeysinghe said, that the  steps have been  taken to establish  for driving schools  drivers for island wide to educate them  good and safe driving .

Deputy Minister Abeysinghe said there are over 45,000 registered vehicles used to transport school children and there are approximately 20,000 unregistered ones.

Deputy transport minister Abeysinghe said there was a budget allocation to regulate vehicles used to transport school children, adding that the government intends to form a proper action plan regarding to this.

He further stated that the government is taking steps to provide those rendered invalid following a road accident, due compensation via the government.
