Black Flags to Indian PM Narendra Modi – Wimal
National Freedom Front (NFF) leader MP Wimal Weerawansa, while addressing the massive crowds gathered at the ‘Joint Opposition’ (JO) May Day rally at the Galle Face green yesterday , requested the public to show and hang black flags during Indian Premier Narendra Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka.
Weerawansa said the government was planning to sell the country to India by signing economic cooperation agreements with New Delhi.
Modi’s not coming to Colombo to inaugurate international Vesak Day . But his aim is to finalize these agreements , he concluded.
However, the government has maintained the position that no agreement will be signed with Modi during his visit to Sri Lanka.
