Mattakkuliya Shooting: Another Suspect Arrested

A 24 year old youth was shot dead by gunmen on a motorcycle down Jubilee Road, Mattakkuliya on the 5th of June.

Police said the youth, a resident of Samithpura was travelling in a three-wheeler with his wife and child at the time when he was shot dead.

Followed by this,  another 26 year old suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting of an individual travelling in a three wheeler in Mattakkuliya.

He was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division in Kelaniya.

Police said the suspect was found to be in possession of a T56 firearm and 8 bullets believed to have been used to commit the murder.

The suspect will be produced before the Hulftsdorp Magistrates Court today.
