President Ordered IGP to Provide Special Security to High Court Judge M.Ilancheliyan

Followed by the recent  attempted assassination attempt on  High Court Judge M.Ilancheliyan,  the President Maithripala Sirisena has ordered the Inspector General of Police to provide special security to him. Further he directed the IGP to appoint necessary investigation teams to find out the back ground under which this attack took place during daylight.

The President has expressed his deepest condolence to the family of  the police sergeant, who was shot and killed while providing security to M.Ilancheliyan.
