The 13 university students who were arrested during the Sathyagraha at the Colombo- Lipton roundabout, have been released on bail today(24).
The Hultsdorf Magistrate’s Court ordered the students to appear before court once again on the 28th of July 2017.
Police took measures to disperse the group of students who were camping near Town Hall in Colombo against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine(SAITM).
Water cannons were used as the general public were facing inconveniences. Police resorted to water cannons after the group of students refused to leave the area, Police said.
