Government Action Thrown 4, 200 Ex Military Men Out of Employment
Avant Garde Chairman Nissanka Senathipathi and retired Major General Palitha Fernando were noticed to appear before the High Court on 19th September 2017 in connection with the bribery case filed by the Bribery Commission .
As the Bribery Commission has filed a case in the High Court in this connection, it withdrew the case filed in Magistrate Court yesterday.
During the period 2012, 2014 Avant Garde Chairman Nissanka has given Rs 355 lakhs to retired Major General Palitha Fernando, who functioned as the Chairman of the Rakna Lanka Limited.
Avant Garde Chairman Nissanka Senathipathi addressing the press yesterday said, that the Government action has thrown 4,200 Ex Military men out of employment. Further he said, that although Avant Garde earned Rs 700 million as revenue , after paying the Navy it was left with only 120 million. He said, that he is prepared to enter into a debate with anyone regarding this matter.
