Despite Fast Unto Death Staged Against SAITM No Change in Govt. Stand – Kirella

Although parents of University students have started fast unto death against SAITM from yesterday and continuing it, there won’t be any change in Government’s stand on it.

GMOA members as well as SAITM students have accepted the Government solution to the SAITM issue presented by the President. It was under this government the first batch of students completed their course and left SAITM. They went to the court and obtained Court determination. Appeal made against it is pending. Hence, all must get together to resolve this issue once and for all, said Minister Laksman Kiriella.
