160 Arrested for Dumping Garbage

Combined Police Army raids done in the western province on 8^th and 9^th resulted in arrest of 160 people engaged in  illegally dumping garbage.

Accordingly, in Colombo North – 20, Central Colombo–34, Nugegoda – 40, Mount Lavinia –10, Gampaha –18, Kelaniya–13, Negombo 12 and 1 from Panadura were arrested.

Legal action is being instituted against them. Police head office said, similar raids will be carried out in future.
