Wasim Thajudeen Case to be Taken Up Today

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court  ordered the Criminal Investigations Department to fast-track investigations into the murder during last hearing.The Court which ruled that Thajudeen was tortured and murdered issued an order to arrest and produce the suspects before Court.

However, the State Counsel said they require a further two months  period to complete investigations.

They have made submission to the court explaining the  the complexity  of  Thajudeen’s murder.

Accordingly, Court postponed the case until today and also called for a report on the case. Accordingly the case is taken up for hearing today.
